Both environments have affected the view of this artist. She has encompassed both landscapes in the scope of her life and now calls both "home."

The artist has paintings and sculptures in the homes of collectors from coast to coast. Her sculptures are simultaneously geometric and organic, structured and free flowing. Her paintings range from the precision of formal portraiture to the energy and freedom of impressionism and expressionism.

Laura holds a BA degree from Elon University and has studied portraiture with John Howard Sanden, sculpture with Steve Werlick and Lou Cohan, and Plein Air studies with noted artists Mark Kerkhoff, John Eagle, and Ken Auster.

Her work in sculpture has won best of show for 2 years at the Orange County Fair, as well as numerous 1st and 2nd place awards. She has also won first place and honorable mention for sculpture and painting at the Almance County Art Festival.

Laura's work is currently exhibited at the Showcase Gallery North and the Westin Hotel, South Coast Plaza.
