Lesley's love of painting kept her learning new techniques even though she was rearing four children and living in a variety of cities in the United States. She especially enjoyed her studies with Jim Smythe of the College of San Mateo, with Ben Shute, co-founder of the Atlanta College of art at the High Museum, and in the San Francisco area at workshops with E. John Robinson, and with Carl Schmalz in Maine.

In 1985 Lesley had her first one-woman show in Atlanta, selling virtually all her works. In 1986 in California she had several one-woman shows in Burlingame and participated in gallery exhibits in San Ramon. In 1989 she received an inspiring letter of thanks from President George Herbert Walker Bush for a watercolor she had painted of the Walker Estate in Kennebunk, Maine.

Currently she is a member of the Orange County Fine Arts, exhibiting at the Showcase Gallery in South Coast Village.

Lesley enjoys working in several media, often incorporating many into one painting. She particularly enjoys working from her imagination, losing herself in the creative experience, employing methods both innovative and traditional.

Lesley's works are displayed in homes and businesses across the U.S, Canada, England, and Australia. She currently works out of her studio, residing in Mission Viejo with her husband and two Maine Coon cats.
