Art is a gift to the world offering to mankind a way out of destruction, depression, and negative forces of life, transcending physical, emotional, and psychological pain. The en plein air experience keeps me in the present moment experiencing God's goodness and abounding peace.

I try to capture feeling and mood while underpainting a very dream-like quality and I continue painting to create more form and shapes with light and shadows. I enjoy the spontaneity of allowing the painting to evolve. I love to paint water, its transparency and reflected light. When I paint I create with synchronicity, fluidity and rhythm. The finishing process is slow and thoughtful careful not to overwork and to keep the fresh energy flow of life, balance and grace.

Painting is meditation for me as co-creator inspired by the Divine Creator's creation of natural order, beauty, and harmony. Each painting allows me to settle into the serene environment for a sense of the contemplative moment, a connection, through my eyes to soul and heart.

I teach painting classes at the Fullerton Senior Center Tuesday afternoons 1-4 and the La Habra Community Center Wednesday mornings 8:30-11:30. I also paint with the Mid Valley, San Gabriel En Plein Air group Thursday mornings and SOCALPAPA Friday or Saturday. Call for more information 562-547-9002.
